The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter Review

I have really dry hair that tend to get frizzy every time I wash my hair.  The weather is also really cold where I live so my hairs are basically lifeless and frizzy.  I have stopped using conditioner way back and instead of hair conditioner I use hair mask everytime I wash my hair which is twice or thrice a week.  So this time when I ran out of my all time fav Loreal Total Repair 5 Hair Mask, I thought of trying something new as I always want to try new products.  So during one of the sale on The Body Shop website I ordered The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter along with few other products thinking it will be for dry hair as it says hair butter instead of hair mask.  I have been using this for quite a while now, so I though of sharing my experience with you all.

My Experience:-
The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter comes in round tub packaging with screw cap.  The texture of the product is exactly like some moisturiser not very thick not very runny in between.  It smells exactly like play dough but the smell is not something which lingers when you apply so nothing which bothers me.  Regarding the effectiveness of the product I have very dry and frizzy hair so when I first used the product I expected the product to be as creamy as my Loreal Total Repair 5 Hair mask but it is not.  It doesnot work for my extremely dry and frizzy hair.  There is a difference between hair conditioner and hair mask, you expect your hair mask to be more moisturising than conditioner but it works like any other conditioner which I did not like.  It is not something which I reach for always.  My sister also uses this hair butter regularly but she likes it, her hair texture is normal.  So if you are someone who is looking for hair mask for moisturiser and deep conditioning, then skip this totally but if you have normal hair you can try this.

The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter
Thumbs Up:-
1.  Good for those with normal hair.
2.  Not greasy even if you use much.
3.  Free of silicones, parabens and colourants.
4.  Rinse off easily.

The Body Shop Rainforest moisture Hair Butter
Thumbs Down:-
1.  Has a smell like play dough.  So people with sensitive nose may not like it.
2.  Doesnot work on extremely dry hairs, especially in winters.
3.  Claims of hair butter, does not make the hair soft.

Overall, this is the good product if you have problem free, virgin hair.  But for those who are looking for hydration and moisturisation this does not work.
