Review: ELF Makeup mist and Set

Recently I was on a lookout for something that can hold my makeup in these summery days,  I LOVE LOVE Urban Decay De Slick but my nearby ULTA was out of stock,  and I hate MAC Fix Spray as it makes my skin super oily, I went to TARGET and was exploring different options and then ELF Setting Spray caught my eye and I saw it on ELF website also and it has 4 rating so I bought it.  I have been using it for quite a long now.  Read on to know my experience.

ELF Makeup mist and Set

Claims:- Keep your makeup staying in place all day with a radiance boosting invisible hold with our new Makeup Mist & Set.

Price- $ 3

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), AMP-Acrylates/Allyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Green Tea (Camelia Sinensis) Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vc), Tocophryl Acetate (Ve) Retinyl Acytate (Va), Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben.

How to use:- Spray on after makeup application to set makeup in place or during the day for a quick touch up to refresh. After you have applied your makeup spray a light mist 12-16 inches from your face with eyes closed to set your makeup in place or use for a quick touch up throughout the day to refresh your makeup. Let it dry naturally or blot with a tissue to help speed dry.

My Experience:-  I have super oily skin.  This product did a fantastic job at keeping my skin matte and fresh looking for few hours.  However, I will say that after about three hours of wear, I did have to blot my skin and I chose to respray the product.  Typically, I would not respray my skin only because of lack of time; however, I really wanted to see how well this product would work. After using my favorite oil blotting sheets, NYX Green Tea Blotting sheets, I resprayed the product and my skin stayed perfectly matte and fresh for an additional two hours.  So, in total, I wore this product for almost 6 hours and it was phenomenal.  All of this awesomeness for $3! So finally I found the cheaper alternative of my all time favorite Urban Decay De  Slick which costs me $29.
